the death defying pepper roux

this is about a boy,pepper,whos aunt predicted his death on his fourteenth birthday when he was born and peppers whole life has been goverened by this thought, but on the day of his fourteenth birthday pepper runs away to try and avoid death, he steals his fathers jacket and hat and goes aboard a ship as its new captain, he chops meat at a dahli, he becomes a journalist he even joins the army each time taking on a new name and therefore a new life in a desperate attempt to trick the angels into thinking he's dead, but what happens when someone comes looking for pepper, another for legion roux and some for little kk?
