it is spring time,the weather is fine,and mole loses patient with his spring cleaning and dares to leave his underground home.He ends up at a river wher he meet ratty(a water rat).Rat take mole on a ride in his rowing boat.Sometime later Rat and mole find themself neaar toad hall and came in to visit toad.Toad is rich and friendly.then Mole want to go nd meet Badger,but rat knows thaat badger dont like people visiting him and refuses to go.one daay mole went to look for badger in the wood and got lost.rat went to find mole and he did but couldnt remember the way out.
