An exciting blog for 7B to record their own reflections on the books they have read and to read and comment on the reviews of their classmates too.

A Family Secret
This half-fiction, half-historical graphic novel tells us about a boy named Jeroen, who went to his grandma's house for a look around for things for a memorial sale. Then, Jeroen looks around then finds a scrapbook containing different newpaper cut-outs of the WWII. Jeroen runs down to ask his grandma what is the scrapbbok for. In this beautifully edited and drawn tale, Helena, Jeroen's grandma, tells us her times back when Hitler took war with the world and with Japan and Italy by his side, and about her friend, Esther, whom Helena thought that she died in concentration camp. following the death of her brother, Theo, her father, a cop, Helena struggles for freedom with her other brother, Wim on some rebellion group against Hitler. Read this, and relive some old memories.
