The Spook's Mistake

Tom is in grave danger the Devil himself is after him. After defeating the witches in Pendle Tom, Alice and his master (the Spook) returned to his home town and found out that the witches have already released the Devil. Something else is bothering the Spook, one day when Tom was going in town to get food when he was ambushed by a press gang (people who forced you to join the army). When the sun came down they used Tom's staff for firewood it was agonizing for him to watch because it was the first staff his master had gave him. After supper (which he didnt have any) the soldiers went to a deep sleep- suddenly Tom was awaken by a sound in the bushes a shadowy figure appeared, it had long oily hair and pale white skin.It was a witch. Tom could hear a faint hissing sound horror struck him as he saw her, her hair wasn't just normal hair it was hissing and snapping drooling out poison, her hair was Snakes! The hissing woke the guards up and when they saw the witch they ran like crazy and all different directions. The gruesome face slowly turned into a pretty face and the snakes turned into dark hair, it was Alice! After explaining to Tom what she used he was still shocked and afraid. When they told the Spook he decided it was time to send Tom to another Spook a former apprentice of the Spook's... Bill Arkwright...
