This is Harry Potter for younger readers. The Worst Witch is exciting with magic spells, people being turned into frogs, a scarily strict teacher, a horrid enemy classmate and loyal friends.

Mildred is a witch and she goes to The Academy for Witches which seemed just like a normal school – just with broomstick lessons and spells classes! This book is also very funny with Mildred getting into all sorts of scrapes. Mildred is so hopeless that even her cat, Tabby, is a terrible witches cat. Brisingr

This is probably the longest book I have ever read, with 1000+ pages it is one of the greatest books in the world, with pages full of imagination, fanstasy and pure description. It is brilliant.
It is part of the series Eragon which is about a boy, Eragon and his Dragon Sapphira in their quest to overthrow the corrupt dragon rider/king . Brisingr begins about four days after the events in Eldest book. A struggle for power as the small country Surda attempts to overthrow the larger Empire. Surda is supported militarily by elves, dwarves, Urgals(a deadly group of assasins), and a rebel organization known as the Varden, the group that Eragon helped to defeat a shade in the first book. In this book Surda tries to attack the land, will The Varden, Eragon and The Empire join forces to stop them? Read this book and see.

Winston also has a tv which he can't turn off. he also predicted that there would be cameras everywhere and people could whatch your every move.

Lily B is on a school trip to Paris with her French class and she is certain that she'll find inspiration for her future novel. Her dream is to become a famous writer some day. She has an experience of her life, flying on a plane and using a phone for the first time of her life! There are 9 passengers on this trip including the teacher, Madame Chavotte.

On one of the days while staying in Paris, the group is meant to meet at the Louvre at 1pm sharp and Madame Chavotte specifically instructed them to only separate into 2 groups (girls and boys) if necessary and they should NEVER be separated from their group. If this ever happens then the whole trip is cancelled! They have the whole morning to explore Paris, so as told they split up into two groups. After exploring they settled at a cafe for lunch then headed to the subway. As they were walking Lily was thinking about her future novel and blocked out every other sound she could hear except her own thoughts. A train stopped by and the doors opened. Lily stepped in. However she only realized that her friend had been saying words like. Wrong. Direction. Train. Guys. Other. Side. But it was far too late, she was down the tunnel and separated from her group. Will she ever find her way to the Louvre?

The stupid twins want to show their prepared stuff for ther birthday party. Jackson gets very upset because he can't bare what the idiots are doing. Jillian reads Jackson's mind by special powers and they put magic on the stupid twins. They are frozen. Ha Ha. Or is it a ha ha? Something is wrong...the twins are the original ones with special powers! Who are them?

This books was quite boring though, but i read it anyway.... It's about this girls called Jacklyn who moved to Shyperia, a snowing plave with hundreds of snowmans....weird. Everyone's house have snowmans in front of their doors. Snowmans with mean looking faces and a scar. Until Jaklyn unraveled her family's secret about the snowman beast. It was too late to brake the spell from the evil snowman that lives on the mountain who everybody feared....

Tell Me no Lies by Malorie Blackman
Gemma hated her life, she was sick of being invisible, being weird, being nothing. Everybody ignored her, they dislike her. She didn't care really. This book is about 2 similar lives of 2 different people with some some weird fate brought them to meet each other. Let me tell you Gemma's life: Her mother died when she was five. She live with her dad and big brother, Tarwin. She was fed up with her dad and Tarwin for always argueing and keeping secrets from her. She loved her mum, so she decided to make scrapbooks of different pictures of mums in it. But one day a new boy was in her class, Mike. She thought she'd seen him before in one of her scrapbooks with his mum in it. Now Mike's life was difficult....his dad died because of an accident that the police thought his mum killed him. So she's in prison and he is stuck with his granps and gran. Gemma was interested in Mike's mum. She was eager to find out who she is. As when mike knew that Gemma knew his biggest secret.....(well he thought she knew the real secret)he would do anything for her so that Gemma would stop telling everyone his secret. You have to find the real secret if u read the book, and Gemma likes Mike but she just couldn't admit it. It is a lovely toughing story. That makes me realized that there's always hope...........hopefully...:)

this book is about a swiss family that ship wreked onto a unihabited island, where they start of with a tent, and a few resources and the build a house in the trees. on the island they make many discoveries such as potatoes, parrots, elephants, donkeys, whales, shark, and many other things, they live on the island for 17 years until rescued by an english sailboat, but some of the family stays on the island with new people, and others travel to europe

london has been hiding from the larger cities for years, in the hills, its now restarting and getting back in the hunt, eating up smaller towns and villages etc... but still cautious of the larger engines like L.A, New York, Washington. in this book all the countries are machines, the way it works is that towns eat houses, villages eat towns, cities eat villages,and states eat cities. its a really good book, and was chosen book of the year, READ IT.

Something Secret

Lara is a girl that suspects something strange about her mum when she doesn't let her go to Guides, a girl camp. One night after she had a fight she went up to her mums room and found a picture of her mum and her mums sister looking very sad. They were wearing Guide uniforms. Her mums sister was called Kathleen and had died many years before Lara was born. Another day when Lara went up to her mums room to look for her birth certificate when she found her mums old diary. She read and found out a secret about her mum and Kathleen's death.

Judy Moody

Judy Moody has many moods : bad moods, good moods, back to school moods - she's got them all! Heather is Obsessed with her figure. Really obsessed. And she bangs on about it all the time, whether it's when she's getting dressed (clothes seem to have shrunk) or failing to resist treats (the Krispy Kremes just call out to her). And, I have to say, it gets a little old. I know loads of girls are concerned about how they look, but that doesn't mean people want to read about it on every page. In fact the only saving grace regarding this is that Heather isn't a size 2 chica who asks 'Does my bum look big in this?' when she clearly knows it doesn't. Heather, however, does seem to spend her days trying to convince herself she's not overly large when, truth be told, she kinda is (NB: the title was originally for an American audience referring to their clothing sizes). What's most infuriating of all is that there is so much going on in Heather's life that you'd think she would realise how superficial some of her thoughts are. Sure, she may have chunky hips, but at least she's alive which is more than can be said for some of the students she's supposedly there to care for.

The Secret Garden

Marie is a little girl who lives in India, her parents didn't love. Her nanny raised and spoiled her, but a flu killed her nanny, parents and all her servants. She moved to England to live with her Uncle, Mr. Craven. At night marie usually hears cries at night, so she followed the cried and met a boy. That boy was Mr. Craven's son. Mr. Craven's wife died when she gave birth to their son. Mr. Craven didnt really like his son, because he was born too early and accidently killed his mother, and everytime Mr. Craven looks at him his son reminds him of his wife. People says he's a handicapped. But is true? find out!! :]

The Phantom of the Opera

This book is about a legend of a fearsome ghost wandering the passageways beneath the opera house. This tale is about a girl called Christine, she is a famous singer in Paris but then she gets kidnapped by a madman, which made her think that he was the angel of music sent by her father. However she fell for it but when he took of his mask, she found out he was a man with no eyes nor mouth. Instead he has black holes replacing them. This led him to trick her into marrying him although she had a lover, Raoul, the boy who saved her from drowning when she was younger. The madman forced her to marry him for the sake of Raoul's life. Read and find out how Raoul saves the love of his life.

Hate That Cat

This book is basically a huge poem, with stanzas instead of paragraphs. It is about a boy called Jack who writes poems that are inspired by other famous poets, he even sent a postcard to his favourite poet - William Carlos Williams. Jack reads these poems to his mother, who is deaf so he used hand signals to communicate. Many of these are about a black fat cat who he really despises. He hopes to become a famous poet when he grows up just like William Carlos Williams.

In this book there are different types of poems e.g. shape poems, rhyming poems. They also include onomatopoeia, similes, metaphors...

The Grim Grotto

The Baudelaires find themselves on a toboggan in Stricken Stream, heading away from the Mortmain Mountains. There, they find Captain Widdershins piloting his 'Submarine Q and its crew of two'. The Baudelaires befriend the Captains daughter, Fiona, and set about repairing the Queeqeg. Count Olaf appears in his octopus shaped submarine and is chased off by an equally mysterious shape, in the form of a question mark on the radar.(just as the Queeqeg and the octo-sub is represented with a letter Q and an eye respectively) Meanwhile, the Queeqeg pushes on to find the sugar bowl, but when the Baudelaires return to the sub, the crew is missing! Where has the captain gone? what is that question mark on the sonar? And who is Fiona's long lost brother?

Many secrets in this book will prove pivotal in the hunt for the sugar bowl, so read it! (even though it discourages you to do so.)

The Queen's Nose

This book is about a girl called harmony. Her uncle comes to to visit, she finds him a lot like her. Harmony tells him how much she has always wanted an animal for her own. The reason she doesn't have a dog or a rabbit cat or mouse is because her parents and her sister melody think animals are filthy and dirty. Her uncle says he may be able to help so for his present the first clue to getting a magic coin. Harmony works out the riddle and has seven wishes.

First wish: an animal for her

Second wish: a watch

Third wish: a bike for free

When she finally got to her last wish her dad got a letter in from India(that's where her uncle was)to tell them how sick her uncle was and how it was very unlikely he will live. Harmony was going to ask for a puppy but as soon as she heard she raced up to her room and wished that uncle would get better and live near them.

Emily is the owner of a pet shop in Gillnacurry. In that pet shop there is a cat called Mulvey a snake called Noreen a dog called bubbles and may more. Emily's niece, Keira comes to stay with her and help at the store.

one day a woman, Mrs Fysshe-pye and her son Ryan go to the store to look for pets. They buy Bubbles Mulvey and a parrot called Captain Cockle. The pets hated it there in Mrs Fysshe-Pye castle. They were so small compaired to the house. They found a way to escape back to the pet shop.

The next day Mrs Fysshe-Pye goes back to the shop and says that she wants a bigger pet. She is given some very strange pets until she figures out what she really wants.

The Worry Website

This book was very boring for me. It was a bout all these kids who have problems and write them on a website. People can comment on their post to help them. Mr Speed there teacher always ends up helping them. the children with worries are Lisa, William, Holly, Greg, Clarie, Samantha, Natasha. In the end everyone is happy (boring!!!).

The Prisoner By Cade Merrill

This is actually a true story, that happened to Cade Merrill's Cousin.
Her cousin went into the woods near Burkittsville, Maryland to make a film about the legend of the Blair Witch.
They NEVER came back.
So Cade read every book she could about the Blair Witch, she emailed everyone who might something about ELLY KEDWARD (the blair witch)

That was just the introduction to the book.
Cade wrote 8 Case files on the blair witch to get more evidence on what actually happen to cousin, but can the answers come to her soon?

I'm reading Case File 6 - The Prisoner and i really want to start from case file 1
her books are so interesting.
and the story she's trying to tell us are TRUE.
it's scary and fun to read.
I got so interested in it that i finished the book in 2 days.

Adrian Mole aged 13 3/4

This story is written like a diary which is one of my favourite styles of writing. but this book wasn't that interesting compared to other book i've read. But here is the plot anyway:

Adrian Mole is living a normal life until he meets the girl of his dreams Pandora whoi has the nickname of Box. He thinks that the world couldnt be better when he is chosen to be her partner in geography. But at home things are getting serious between Adrian's parents as they argue over who doesn't get custody of him when they divorce. Adrian is forced to cook and clean for him self as his parents are too busy arguing. Soon a neighbour from across the street called Mr Lucas starts too get involved and Adrian's dad finds out why his wife left him. Adrian cant take it anymore so he starts doing clubs after-school so he doesn't spend much time at home. He joins a club which helps senior citizens. Bary is the name of his citizen except he doesn't act like a senior...

Absolutely normal chaos

This book to me wasn't very interesting. It was about a girl who has to write a journal over her summer holiday. Her cousin comes to stay his name is Carl Ray he is as boring as the book until the end of the story when something interesting actually happens. You find out a secret about Carl Ray. This book is very strange i do not suggest it to anyone. I am glad i finished it.

QUEEN SHAHRAZAD - Alibaba and the 40 thieves

Will she be spared, or will she suffer the king's dreadful wrath? Read-on.

This is one of the most popular Tales of Arabian Nights stories;

Poor farmer Alibaba is farming when 40 mysterious figures show up with horses minding their own business. This attracted Alibaba himself to see what is going on and he follows them before hiding on the top of a tree. 'What are they doing?' he thought, since they're looking at a wall of rocks like it were gold. Before he could say anything, the leader of the figures shouted out a spell, 'OPEN SESAME!' to Alibaba's surprise, the door of plain rock slowly unfolds into and gateway like a book and Alibaba was drooling as he would've seen. Inside there were stashes of stolen gold and coins. They were thieves! Alibaba tells this to his cousin, called Kasim, who, much to his surprise, said that he would steal them again and give it to his family. Alibaba thought he was joking, but Kasim was serious. At night, Kasim goes to the gate and enters. About 10 minutes later, he returns with a huge stash of gold, but just one problem, he forgot the words to get the gates to open and close it. Before he could remember, the 40 thieves were outside. Their leader was about shout the words until Kasim said it first, and the thieves dissected him to little pieces before dumping him to the nearest house, which was Alibaba's. Alibaba called up his sister and parents. They  were heartbroken to see this. They asked a tailor to sew up the body and bury it in a grave. The thieve noticed that somebody knew the spell already and had themselves disguised as oil can dealers and hid in the cans. The leader pretended that he was lost and ask Alibaba can he stay at his place for the night, waiting in the right time to kill him and his family. Alibaba's sister heard this and cooked dinner, and pretending to go out and get some more oil, but instead takes the oil and heats them, take them outside. she opened one of the cans. 'Is it time yet?' a man asked. She immediately... or silently pours the boiling oil into each cans. The leader eventually shows up to call them but, instead finds his men dead, and leaves. Alibaba and his parents thanked her for saving them.

This book has many stories in in it. Different ones...And I think they are wonderful, quite emotional and soe have a message in them. Mostly about books some of the stories are. Some of my favourite stories are: The Giant's Necklace, I believe in unicorns, My one and only great escape, The silver swan and lastly SINGING FOR MRS PETTIGREW. The Giant's necklace is about a girl who promised herself she would finish her giant necklace. But sadly died drowning. Sing for Mrs Pettigrew is about a boy who loved the place he lived in. But sad again, the place is going to be rebuilt in to large buildings, swarming with construction sites. Mrs Pettigrew loved the place more than anything, but it was no use. As the bird sing for Mrs Pettigrew because they thank her for her kindness to nature. The other stories you guys to find out.

Noodle head
Marcus king was strange. He coudn't bear lots of things. Firstly he couldn't stay in the closed places. He couldn't stay if the door is closed.For example, in the boat, when the door is closed, he always whet out on deck whatever the weather is. It also caused big problem of travelling for him too. When he is travelling on the car, his parents always needed to stop suddenly to let him out. He also couldn't bear someone making him do something, and let him in control. So he definately hated school. He ran off from the school from the time of 5. When he grew, he looked like his mom. The red hair. That's why people call him noodle head. If you want to learn more, read it!

This is a wonderful story about a girl who overcomes all odds and achieves success in more ways than one.

ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON - The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyl and Mr. Hyde

Back in mid 18th century London, a recent murder of Sir Danvers Carew with a walking stick has rung up the mind of Dr. Gabriel, he is thinking where has his client, Dr. Jekyll has gone to after weeks of not seeing him himself. He has heard that Dr. Jekyll has been murdered as well by someone, but the body was never found. After a letter inlists Gabriel to a meeting with Jekyll's most trusted friend, the mysterious Mr. Hyde. Upon meeting, Gabriel thought, 'Oh my poor friend Jekyll, you friend looks like the devil.' After a few more weeks, Gabriel finally meets Dr. Jekyll once againg, but something was wrong, Jekyll has been acting strangely this time, and Gabriel asks Dr. Jekyll's butler, Mr. Poole to help him find out what is up. Once arriving to Dr. Jekyll's room, the door was locked, and someone's voice was heard, 'I'm not seeing anyone!'. Gabriel immediately recognised the voice, it was Mr. Hyde's! Aquiring an axe, Mr. Poole smash the door to pieces and finds a half-transformed Mr. Hyde lying on the ground, dead. Turns out that the reasonable wills of Dr. Jekyll was written by Mr. Hyde himself, and the walking stick that killed Sir Danvers, was the same stick that Gabriel gave to Jekyll personally, and was Hyde who killed him, in a murderous rage. And Gabriels good friend, Dr. Lanyon, had died from shock earlier, but shock from seeing Jekyll turning into Hyde and Hyde into Jekyll. After knowing this, Jekyll wishes that he would no longer want to be Jekyll anymore and drank an overdosed poisonous drink, and ended his own life in order to save himself, and everyone.
