Evil is back and Skulduggery Pleasant and his partner Valkyrie Cain (Stephanie Edgely) is ready to once again save the world. But this time the risk is higher than ever one of Mevolent most trusted general, Baron Vengeous, is after Valkyrie's blood to revive a hybrid monster that has the wicked ability to revive the Faceless Ones and let them rule over the Earth once more. Baron is also looking for the armor of an old enemy, Lord Vile's armor, one his way to capture Valkyrie, Baron meets a vampire and they became accompanies with other loads of evil mages and creatures on his side. Will Skulduggery and Valkyrie be able to stop them even if they had Mr Bliss on their side? And who is this mysterious employer of Sanguine (the trained assasin).
