Gemma hated her life, she was sick of being invisible, being weird, being nothing. Everybody ignored her, they dislike her. She didn't care really. This book is about 2 similar lives of 2 different people with some some weird fate brought them to meet each other. Let me tell you Gemma's life: Her mother died when she was five. She live with her dad and big brother, Tarwin. She was fed up with her dad and Tarwin for always argueing and keeping secrets from her. She loved her mum, so she decided to make scrapbooks of different pictures of mums in it. But one day a new boy was in her class, Mike. She thought she'd seen him before in one of her scrapbooks with his mum in it. Now Mike's life was difficult....his dad died because of an accident that the police thought his mum killed him. So she's in prison and he is stuck with his granps and gran. Gemma was interested in Mike's mum. She was eager to find out who she is. As when mike knew that Gemma knew his biggest secret.....(well he thought she knew the real secret)he would do anything for her so that Gemma would stop telling everyone his secret. You have to find the real secret if u read the book, and Gemma likes Mike but she just couldn't admit it. It is a lovely toughing story. That makes me realized that there's always hope...........hopefully...:)
