The good Earth

This book is about China in the industrial times. This book shows the hardships of a farmer, and his good days and bad days. When his crops are all harvested, he goes through a 'golden age' pf happiness. However, winter arrives and nothing grows. The farmer is soon forced to move to the south and beg for food. The farmer and his wife survive the hardship and return to the town. He joins the others to raid the richman's house and takes ownership of it. From then on, he lives peacefully in the mansion, and his 3 sons who stayed with them through their hardships grew up to be succesfull buisnessmen.

The ending is for you to read, if you want to. Though this book won awards, I don't think anybody is interested in this anymore, but if you are, then read it! This book is very emotional in a way.
